Circular No.:  26          Dated-06.08.2009

Dear Parents,

You all are aware of the present outbreak of the swine flu caused by the deadly H1NI virus. Children between the age group of 10 to 14 years are proving to be more vulnerable to this virus. Moreover the symptoms are similar to the seasonal influenza like fever, cough, body ache, sore throat and acute gastro-intestinal symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea and  nausea.

Since there is an increase in the number of swine flu cases throughout the country and young children being more susceptible to this virus, schools become a place where children come in close contact with each other. So as a precautionary measure it is highly desirable and advisable, if the necessary guidelines are followed as given below :-

  1. Extra attention and caution is required if your ward is not well or shows any flu-like symptoms as mentioned above and if they get severe in 24 hours.

Visit the doctor immediately.

  1. It is advisable not to send the child to school if he/she is showing flu-like

      symptoms.

  1. The school has provisions of providing safe drinking water through RO systems.

Still it will be highly appreciated if children carry boiled water with them.

  1. Students can wear full sleeve shirts, if desired.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,
